editorIt IS a Very Small World

After completing our Saturday session at the ‘church car park’ Jan and I went to admire the excellent displays at the Flower Festival in the church. Jan called me over to meet a visiting family who expressed an interest in ‘family trees’, one of my hobbies. They said they thought they had ancestors who had lived in Hay. To cut a long story short, it turned out that we shared the same great, great grandparents. They had been unsuccessfully in their searches for ancestors’ graves in the cemetery - I was able to tell them where at least one was located. It is a small world.
