Maddie has spent and enjoyed her first Christmas with us and devoured a large chocolate star and chewed some of the festive cards which fell on the HaII carpet just right for her to stretch out and have a jolly munching time !
2011 came to a close with a very successful Christmas Party where everyone took part in contributing lots of delicious goodies to eat and a tipple or two of sherry to help it all along! The table had been beautifully prepared and decorated with hol1y and crackers. Carols were sung and Ann read the well known 'Christmas in the Work House'. Aileen D and Linda did a reading portraying Mary and Joseph. During tea 'Happy Birthday' was sung to Dolly who celebrated her 99th on Christmas Day. Well done Dolly! The afternoon concluded with a raff1e.
Returning on Jan 5th members were glad to be entertained by Linda with the exercises to music, good thinking to help get rid of those extra pounds and help those winter blues on their way.
